Troubled 14 year old Kris forms an unlikely bond with Abe, an ex-bull rider past his prime, when he brings her into his world of bull riding.


In the humid, poverty-stricken outskirts of Houston Texas, 14 year old Kris destroys her neighbour's house in a fit of youthful defiance, facing the distinct likelihood of following in her mother’s footsteps to the state penitentiary. Her neighbour Abe, an ex-bull rider making his living working the rodeo circuit each week, is grappling with life’s realities as a man past-his-prime. Both he and Kris are at a crossroad in their lives and, through an unlikely bond, attempt change and self-discovery before it is too late for them both.
