Marta (Susanne Wolff) and Roland (Ulrich Matthes) lead a quiet, comfortable life with their young son Nathan (Elia Gezer). When Valmir (Florist Bajgora), an Albanian migrant worker, enters the family’s life, their world is turned upside down. The dreamy Roland is only too happy to hire the rough-edged, taciturn Valmir for renovation work, and at first he doesn’t mind that Marta is drawn to the young man. Whilst Valmir is renovating the bathroom of the historic property, he becomes increasingly involved in the family’s daily life. He seems to have a special bond with little Nathan in particular. Soon, Marta discovers that she and Valmir share a secret that threatens not only their marriage but their very existence.
